Dear GiBUU users, <br>
we are happy to announce that release 2017 of the GiBUU transport
code has been published. It includes the following new features and
modifications:<br>
<ul>
<li>JLAB/CLAS12 RunGroupA initialization (contributed by Michael
Kunkel) </li>
<li>some neutrino fluxes added/updated </li>
<li>back reactions for decay into 3 mesons added (detailed
balance) </li>
<li>minor renaming/deleting of flags in namelists
<ul>
<li>debugflags removed from all namelists </li>
<li>'propagation': e.g. <tt>predictorCorrector</tt> --> <tt>Mode</tt>,
<tt>DerivativeType</tt> --> <tt>RungeKuttaOrder</tt> </li>
<li>'propagation': <tt>useCoulomb</tt> --> <tt>useCoulombDirectly</tt>
to avoid misunderstandings </li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>make neutrino runs silent by default:
<ul>
<li>'neutrino_induced': new switch <tt>printAbsorptionXS</tt>
</li>
<li>'neutrinoAnalysis': new switch <tt>Xsection_analysis</tt>,
default of <tt>detailed_diff_output</tt> set to false </li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>minor bugfixes and modifications, cosmetics </li>
</ul>
Due to to the renaming in the namelists you probably have to
slightly modify your existing jobcards to be compatible with the new
release.<br>
<br>
As with the previous release, the recommended way to obtain the code
is via subversion <<a
href="https://gibuu.hepforge.org/trac/wiki/svn">https://gibuu.hepforge.org/trac/wiki/download</a>>.
The release branch will receive occasional bugfixes and minor
updates until the next major release. These updates will be visible
in the timeline on the GiBUU website and can be applied to your
working copy via "svn update". <br>
