[Blackmax] Running BlackMax at 8 TeV failed

Dear Shaoqi,

I am sorry that it took me a bit to come back to you.

I am able to produced 20000 or 10000 events using your parameter file.

I had to use a different PDF because I had difficulties to link LHAPDF with my BlackMax. I used 200 for the pdf settings and was able to produce events without getting it stuck.

Can you change to a different PDF and see if it is a problem with the choice of PDF?

I ran BlackMax with the newest parameter.txt sent to you. BlackMax stalled after about 2 min, 1481 events simulated. No more events were simulated further. Please download the two attachments. Thank you very much!

I am not sure what BlackMax does if you set the maximum mass to a higher value than the centre of mass energy.

Can you try to run blackmax for the COM = 8 TeV with a maximum mass value of 8TeV? and see if you still have this problem?

Dear Shaoqi,

the parameter file you have send is this the the file which causes the problems? I see that the centre of mass energy in this file is set to 9TeV. Can you send me the file which causes the problem? Or are you just changing the centre of mass energy from 9 to 8 TeV in this file and you end up with problems?

I just want to make sure that there is not a typo in the parameter file where you set the CoM to 8 TeV.

To whom it may concern,

I am a graduate student at the University of Alabama. Recently, I tried to run BlackMax to reproduce the results of Fig. 1 published in the paper JHEP 07 (2013) 178. But unfortunately, BlackMax got stuck when the center of mass energy was set to 8 TeV. If the center of mass energy is 14 TeV or 9 TeV, BlackMax runs successfully. The attachment is the parameter file. Please look into this problem. Thank you!
