[Herwig-announce] Herwig++ 2.5.0 and ThePEG 1.7.0 have been released

Dear Herwig++ and ThePEG users,

we would like to announce the release of ThePEG 1.7.0 together with
Herwig++ 2.5.0.


You can find the downloads at

This is a substantial new release with many improvements, among them:
new next-to-leading order matrix elements, including weak boson pair 
production; a colour reconnection model; diffractive processes; 
additional models of physics beyond the Standard Model and new 
leading-order matrix elements for hadron-hadron and lepton-lepton 
collisions as well as photon-initiated processes.

The default tune has not been changed from version 2.4.2,
but current tunes for ATLAS UE data are available at
http://projects.hepforge.org/herwig/trac/wiki/MB_UE_tunes
