Dear Herwig++ and ThePEG users,

we would like to announce the incremental release of Herwig++ 2.7.1
together with ThePEG 1.9.2.

The main improvements are:

* New shower switches to select schemes for momentum reconstruction (see
NEWS file for details)

* Improved efficiency to gain a 10–20% speedup in LHC events.

* ThePEG now supports LHAPDFv6 directly.

* Build problem fixes on OS X and SLC6

To help with our future transition to C++-11, we provide the new
--enable-stdcxx11 configure flag. Please try to run test builds with
this flag enabled in ThePEG and Herwig++ and let us know about any
problems and successes, but do *not* use this in production code yet.
This flag is intended to become the default in one of the next major
releases.

As usual, you can find the downloads at
     http://projects.hepforge.org/herwig/versions

For any questions, please contact herwig at projects.hepforge.org

With best regards,

     The Herwig++ and ThePEG authors
