*** Release of HiggsBounds version 4.2.0 and HiggsSignals version 1.3.0 *** We are happy to announce the release of new versions of the programs HiggsBounds and HiggsSignals. HiggsBounds version 4.2.0 contains many new exclusion limits from Summer 2014. This includes amongst others interesting results from new searches for Higgs-to-Higgs decay signatures, invisible Higgs decays, charged Higgs bosons as well as for non-standard Higgs bosons decaying to tautau final states from both ATLAS and CMS, see below for a full list of currently implemented analyses. In particular, we implemented the CMS Higgs to tautau search results (arXiv:1408.3316) using the 2D likelihood information for a single resonance model, enabling us to approximately reconstruct the likelihood for arbitrarily extended Higgs sectors. Using this likelihood, HiggsBounds obtains the 95% CL limits in the standard HiggsBounds run. However, the likelihood can also be used directly in global fits, see the new example program ‘HBwithLHCchisq.f90’ for details. Note, however, that this implementation is still in a *beta phase*. We are in discussion with the responsible CMS people to sort out remaining questions. The HiggsSignals version 1.3.0 features updated observable sets, as well as a revamped algorithm to evaluate the chi^2 contribution from the Higgs mass. This is in particular relevant if multiple Higgs bosons are in the vicinity of the discovered Higgs signal.
