Dear Laura++ users,

We are very pleased to announce that the paper “Laura++ : a Dalitz plot fitter” has been published in Computer Physics Communications 231 (2018) 198-242.
The paper is available open access under the CC-BY-4.0 licence from the journal:
https://doi.org/10.1016/j.cpc.2018.04.017
The version on arXiv has also been updated:
https://arxiv.org/abs/1711.09854

The paper precisely documents the formalisms, conventions and methodologies employed to model the signal and background distributions in the Dalitz plot, including the effects of efficiency and resolution. The sections on the implementation of each of these components include some suggestions on best practice. There are then sections on the workflows used to generate toy MC, fit data samples and weight simulated samples, including some of the variations available, the performance of the package and some potential future developments. There are also a number of appendices that give further details on the formalisms and other features available. The published version of the paper documents the state of the code as of v3r4, i.e. the current release.

We hope that it will serve as a useful reference for anyone using the package, whether just starting out or an experienced user.

Best regards,
The Laura++ Developers
