[LHAPDF-announce] NNPDF QED and MRST/MSTW LHAPDF6 sets validatedAndy Buckley andy.buckley at cern.chSat Jan 18 09:45:36 GMT 2014
Dear LHAPDF users, We're pleased to announce that the respective authors have approved the validation of the following PDF sets in LHAPDF6: * 56 x MSTW 2008 LO, NLO, NNLO sets with mb, mc and alpha_s variations * 12 x NNPDF 2.3 QED sets (i.e. proton and neutron PDFs with a photon constituent) * 2 x MRST 2007 modified LO sets (LO* and LO**) * 3 x MRST 2004 QED sets (proton and neutron PDFs with a photon constituent). New, updated MRST2004qed_proton and MRST2004qed_neutron sets are available in the main downloads area, while the validated but deprecated MRST2004qed set is available for backward compatibility from the "unvalidated" downloads directory. All these sets, and the previously approved CTEQ and NNPDF sets, are available to download from: http://www.hepforge.org/archive/lhapdf/pdfsets/6.0/ as well as the following AFS directory: /afs/cern.ch/sw/lcg/external/lhapdfsets/current The remaining sets (awaiting validation) are available from: http://www.hepforge.org/archive/lhapdf/pdfsets/6.0/unvalidated/ These include CTEQ sets other than CTEQ6L1, CT10 and CT10nlo, and all the latest sets from the HERA, ATLAS and ABM groups. These data files can be used and no problems are known, but they have not (yet) been officially approved by their respective authors. Validation plots are available here: http://lhapdf.hepforge.org/validationpdfs/ Best wishes, Andy & and the LHAPDF6 team -- Dr Andy Buckley, Royal Society University Research Fellow Particle Physics Expt Group, University of Glasgow / PH Dept, CERN
