[LHAPDF-announce] LHAPDF 6.1.5 release, plus paper and MMHT2014 and JR14 PDF setsAndy Buckley andy.buckley at cern.chWed Dec 24 14:54:56 GMT 2014
Dear LHAPDF users, We are pleased to announce a little Christmas* present: LHAPDF version 6.1.5. This version adds improved extrapolation outside PDF grids, several new and improved Fortran functions for compatibility and improved functionality, and a bugfix in handling of parton flavour information in the PDF grid format. Error checking and reporting have also been further improved. This version is available for download immediately from the LHAPDF website at http://lhapdf.hepforge.org/ At the same time, we present (at last!) a proper write-up of LHAPDF6: http://arxiv.org/abs/1412.7420 This will shortly be submitted for publication; please make sure to cite it if you use LHAPDF either directly or indirectly (e.g. via an MC event generator). Finally, the MMHT2014 and JR14 PDF sets are now available to download from the LHAPDF website and from /afs/cern.ch/sw/lcg/external/lhapdfsets/current/ on AFS. The CVMFS area will be synchronised shortly. We now have 347 validated PDF sets in the LHAPDF6 collection, and hope to approve more shortly. Best wishes, season's greetings, and all the best for 2015! Andy & the LHAPDF6 team [*] Or festival of your choosing... -- Dr Andy Buckley, Royal Society University Research Fellow Particle Physics Expt Group, University of Glasgow / PH Dept, CERN
