[Rivet] rivet installationAltan Cakir altan.cakir at cern.chMon Aug 18 09:16:13 BST 2008
Dear Rivet developers, I am trying to install rivet with the script "rivet-bootstrap" but somehow it does not working due to the Sherpa libs(see below). As we talked with Dr. Buckley last week(see below), it should have been worked when it is changed "DEVELOPERMODE=yes" in order to fix this problem(to take into account new Agile-1.1.2 version) but still the same error shows all the time in cern compilation. My question is course how can i properly installed rivet including Sherpa and can i installed this rivet my personal computer or institute cluster. I would be very happy if someone clearify this installation process how can i handle? Kind Regards, Altan ============================================================= mkdir .libs g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../../include/AGILe -I../../include/AGILe -I../../include -I../../include -I/afs/cern.ch/sw/lcg/external/Boost/1.34.1/slc4_amd64_gcc34/include/boost-1_34_1 -I/afs/cern.ch/sw/lcg/external/HepMC/2.03.09/slc4_amd64_gcc34/include -I/afs/cern.ch/sw/lcg/external/MCGenerators/Sherpa/1.1.2/slc4_amd64_gcc34/include/SHERPA-MC -DLIB_SUFFIX=\".so\" -Wno-write-strings -O3 -MT libAGILeSherpa_la-Sherpa.lo -MD -MP -MF .deps/libAGILeSherpa_la-Sherpa.Tpo -c Sherpa.cc -fPIC -DPIC -o .libs/libAGILeSherpa_la-Sherpa.o /bin/sh ../../libtool --mode=link --tag=CXX g++ -DLIB_SUFFIX=\".so\" -O3 -L../../src/Tools -L../../src -o libAGILeSherpa.la -rpath /tmp/cakir/Rivet/local//lib -export-dynamic libAGILeSherpa_la-Sherpa.lo -lSherpaMain -lLHAPDFSherpa -lLHAPDF -lHepMC g++ -shared -nostdlib /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-redhat-linux/3.4.6/../../../../lib64/crti.o /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-redhat-linux/3.4.6/crtbeginS.o .libs/libAGILeSherpa_la-Sherpa.o -L/tmp/cakir/Rivet/agile/src/Tools -L/tmp/cakir/Rivet/agile/src -lSherpaMain -lLHAPDFSherpa -lLHAPDF -lHepMC -L/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-redhat-linux/3.4.6 -L/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-redhat-linux/3.4.6/../../../../lib64 -L/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-redhat-linux/3.4.6/../../.. -L/lib/../lib64 -L/usr/lib/../lib64 -lstdc++ -lm -lc -lgcc_s /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-redhat-linux/3.4.6/crtendS.o /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-redhat-linux/3.4.6/../../../../lib64/crtn.o -Wl,-soname -Wl,libAGILeSherpa.so.0 -o .libs/libAGILeSherpa.so.0.0.0 /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lSherpaMain collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make[2]: *** [libAGILeSherpa.la] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/tmp/cakir/Rivet/agile/src/Sherpa' make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/cakir/Rivet/agile/src' make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 ================================================================ Andy Buckley wrote: > Altan Cakir wrote: > >> Dear Andy, >> >> unfortunately the problem is still the same .
