Yes, but how to explain the good Pythia 8 fit? Maybe a fluke...

Maybe, but the binnings etc. in that case are in Et rather than pT. I'm
also not happy with the angle range mapping code, which isn't suitable
for use in all scenarios (there's more than one way to map [-PI,PI] to
[0,PI]), so I'm doing another set of 1M event runs now. Why can't it be
one of the ones that you can see is/isn't working after 10k events?!?
