[Rivet] FastJet 2.4.x in Genser?Andy Buckley andy.buckley at durham.ac.ukMon Jun 8 10:29:06 BST 2009
Hi Alberto, We are finally gearing up to our Rivet 1.1.3 release (hopefully today) and I got some feedback that our bootstrap script fails on systems with /afs mounted (i.e. when it tries to use the LCG packages). I tested, and the problem is that for some reason FastJet 2.4.0 and 2.4.1 have never been installed in /afs/cern.ch/sw/lcg/external/fastjet ... is that under Genser control, and could they be installed, please? By the way, it would also be great if Boost could be installed in /afs/cern.ch/sw/lcg/external/Boost with the header directory "normalised" to the standard form (as Linux packagings of it do). Basically, this means putting a symlink in e.g. /afs/cern.ch/sw/lcg/external/Boost/1.34.1/slc4_..../include to point the standard name .../include/boost at the non-standard .../include/boost-1_34_1/boost --- would that be possible? It would certainly make life easier for anyone wanting to use it! Thanks, and I hope we can get this new version of Rivet into Genser very soon!
