And once again I don't think it's right to say that this is "what our users will get" --- it's what the first "raw" stage of Rivet will output. The instructions will be very clear that for most comparisons an LO generator will require some normalisation or scaling to be directly comparable to the data... and the easiest route of pure, uncritical normalisation to the reference data should be trivially achievable. My expectation is something like this: rivet-rescale mc-lo.aida mc-scaled.aida (i.e. the ref data should be automatically found and no arguments needed to get the naive normalisation) I'm not sure of the actual status of this, but it's certainly something that would benefit from some testing and code contribution.
