[Rivet] normalisation to cross-sections

As I said: I haven't read the long thread in detail yet (shame on me),
but that's what I saw in the last Rivet commit. So I'm not sure what our
plan is at the moment, but I do have objections against "normalising"
event shapes. Probably I missed something.
