I would have even preferred that, but thought that you might want to 
keep the old behaviour of Scale (multiplying the individual scales).

But given that the "old" behaviour is quite new anyway, and that it 
doesn't really have a use case that I can think of, I agree that we 
should overwrite it -> r2657.
