[Rivet] Rivet 1.2.2 release soon (this week?)Frank Siegert frank.siegert at durham.ac.ukTue Jun 22 09:53:21 BST 2010
Hi Andy, good idea, thanks for pushing :) I was planning to improve the writing-an-analysis experience for a first time user a bit, and saw that you already did a major overhaul of the WritingAnAnalysis page, thanks for that! In that context I had two thoughts: 1. Should we get rid of the plugindemo directory in favour of the new properly documented rivet-mkanalysis and rivet-buildplugin? 2. Should rivet-mkanalysis get an *option* to write the metadata into the C++ file (like it's done now in plugindemo)? For plugin analyses this might be useful to avoid having to edit more than one file (ok, the .plot file, but that comes at the very end and is optional). It will also allow to use the plugin analysis with only RIVET_ANALYSIS_PATH set... at least I can never remember which other paths (RIVET_DATA_PATH, RIVET_INFO_PATH, ...?) I have to set. Cheers, Frank
