Hi Alex, I'm getting an idea of what the problem is. Your LaTeX installation is _really_ ancient. What system are you using? Is that still SL4? The best solution to your problems is moving to a more recent Linux distribution, i.e. something that has a LaTeX installation which is not ten years old. Even SL5 is (slightly) better, as it is only six years old. One quick hack you can make now is: - delete the lines out += ('\\selectcolormodel{rgb}\n') out += ('\\usepackage{underscore}\n') from make-plots. That gives you the x-axis label back. - run on SL5 rather than on SL4 (e.g. lxplus5 instead of lxplus, or whereever your work). RGB colors will still not work on SL5, but at least you can mix the basic colors using the red!40!blue!70 syntax. As base colors you can for instance use red, green, blue, yellow, cyan, magenta, white, black, lightgray, gray, darkgray, brown. If you like to use RGB colors, you need a LaTeX installation that is not six years old (like on SL5). Sorry. Please let me know if this helped.
