By "histogram" do you mean an MC histogram that you are filling, or a reference data histogram? At the moment, you can't get any details from the reference histograms other than the bin edge list (with binEdges(<histo, id, args>). I'm working on our histogramming replacement which will improve that situation. Getting details from the MC histograms is just done using the AIDA interfaces: there are details of those in several places online, in the Rivet Doxygen, or via the .h files in the include/LWH directory.
