I think that AlpGen is the only generator interface which has a concept of an input stream, so the AGILe framework really has no idea that such a thing is happening. I think that making this work could require some development, e.g. making use of the return value for the makeEvent() method to stop the event loop -- if you're using it, I think it might be best for you to try making such a patch, and if it works we'll integrate it for the next release.
