Hi,

some more random thoughts:

- The README and the image file should be two separate files, so that
  people can download and read the README independently of downloading
  the image. Then we don't need the README on the desktop, either.

- Many people are using Windows. They can't use .tar.bz2, so we should
  offer to download the image as simple zipped file, as well as .bz2 (no
  tar needed because we separated the README) for the Unix users
  (including Mac).
