Is this the publication for the CONF_2010_083 note? If it is, has the
analysis changed since the conference note? They used to veto events in
which the first or second leading track are within 0.8 < |eta| < 2.8 and
I don't see such a veto in your code. This made a significant difference
for low dphi events (left hand side of the plot) when I implemented the
conference note analysis and was sorted out after communication with the
authors. Can you please cross-check this?
