That's what I > always do for them. For PYTHIA, I use the MSTP(142)=1 (IIRC) setting to generate these profiles weighted... that greatly reduces the number of required events. I still use about 1M or so, though... and should maybe use more. It would be *really* nice to have that pThat enhancement / weighting in Pythia 8... the other C++ generators already have it.
