Thus spake Andy Buckley (andy.buckley at ed.ac.uk): > I think that to use the Genser packages you also have to set up the > LCG GCC and Python versions. Something like what Daniel posted... Daniel only used /afs/cern.ch/sw/lcg/contrib/gcc/4.3/x86_64-slc5-gcc43-opt/setup.sh and that's what I tried, too. It yielded the segfault. > and also the LCG Python 2.6. That's the missing bit! With these two additional exports it works: export PATH=/afs/cern.ch/sw/lcg/external/Python/2.6.5/x86_64-slc5-gcc43-opt/bin:$PATH export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/afs/cern.ch/sw/lcg/external/Python/2.6.5/x86_64-slc5-gcc43-opt/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH > Yes, it would be good if LCG provided a script to set up their > standard environment, and no I don't think they do :S Boy am I glad I don't have to use it. ;-) Cheers, Hendrik -- The minimum number of planes one should own is one. The correct number is n+1, where n is the number of planes currently owned. This equation may also be re-written as s-1, where s is the number of planes owned that would result in separation from your partner. -- Veluminati
