[Rivet] mcplots - Problem with the OPAL 2004 Rivet analysis ?Hendrik Hoeth hendrik.hoeth at cern.chMon May 23 18:05:03 BST 2011
Hi guys, I'm looking at Peter's LEP bug report. After having a very brief look at the publications I think he has a point: - ALEPH_2004_S5765862 seems to be using charged+neutral but without neutrals below approx. 1-2 GeV (see section 2.3). We are using all charged+neutral. Are they correcting later for the soft neutrals or do we need to exclude them, too? - OPAL_2004_S6132243 also seems to use charged+neutral (and "neutral leptons" -- see section 4.2) as described in 5.2. We are only using charged particles. That's definitely a bug. Andy, Siggi, those are your analyses and you know the papers much better. Can you please have a look at this, so that it can go into 1.5.1? Cheers, Hendrik -- The minimum number of planes one should own is one. The correct number is n+1, where n is the number of planes currently owned. This equation may also be re-written as s-1, where s is the number of planes owned that would result in separation from your partner. -- Veluminati
