Hi Peter, > We are scheduling an update of mcplots for early next week. We just > wanted to check if we should anticipate any new Rivet releases in the > near future? yes, we do. That is, as I mentioned in my mail back then, the reason we asked you to test 1.5.1a0. > Of special relevance right now is that our plan right now is to > leave out the energy-scaling OPAL 2004 analysis, despite its large > physics interest, Feel free to include or exclude whatever you like. > This appears to indicate that something could be wrong in the > calculation of the observable in the Rivet code for the OPAL one). In both, though the error in ALEPH probably doesn't change anything visibly. > I think the upshot was that you decided to look into the Rivet code > for the OPAL analysis, Into both analyses. > but I do not know if the problem has been identified at the code > level. It has been identified and that's the only reason why we haven't released 1.5.1 yet. We plan to fix it this week and release then. Cheers, Hendrik -- The minimum number of planes one should own is one. The correct number is n+1, where n is the number of planes currently owned. This equation may also be re-written as s-1, where s is the number of planes owned that would result in separation from your partner. -- Veluminati
