[Rivet] Rivet 1.8.3 testing+release & collab meetingAndy Buckley andy.buckley at ed.ac.ukSat Mar 23 12:46:02 GMT 2013
Hi all, Two quick notes: 1. I think version 1.8.3 is ready to go for testing now: I'll send a mail and tarball to Anton K and hopefully release next week. We expect one more ATLAS analysis to come in after the main testing but before the release. Since there was no opposition, we will lock the AIDA branch to new commits after this release. That doesn't mean that there will *definitely* be no more 1.8.x releases -- in fact I half-expect that at least a 1.8.4 will be needed to collect new analyses until the YODA-based 2.x is really in full circulation. But no more feature additions, and only serious bug fixes. Any new, new analyses or features should go into the trunk. Ok? 2. Collaboration meeting: May is looking good. A more complete response later, but Jon B mentioned that UCL would be a possible venue. Since that would be more free from distractions than CERN, and is easier to get to from diverse locations than Durham is, I suggest we have the meeting there. Again, ok? You only need answer the "ok?"s if your answer is "no" ;) Cheers, Andy -- Dr Andy Buckley, Royal Society University Research Fellow Particle Physics Expt Group, University of Edinburgh The University of Edinburgh is a charitable body, registered in Scotland, with registration number SC005336.
