[Rivet] Rivet "collaboration meeting"?James Monk jmonk at cern.chWed May 1 23:52:57 BST 2013
Hi Frank, That's interesting - I actually had a similar discussion with Sascha Mehlhase here about the possibility of using Rivet as part of a general constraint on new models. My initial reaction was that is perhaps something for the long-term, but it's hard to get around unfolding cuts. Alternatively, going down the pseudo-detector sim route as they suggest in that link has its own problems, and ideally there would at least be some agreed upon standard à la HepMC for specifying the smeared particles. Now that many glaringly obvious BSM scenarios have been eliminated, my preference would be to encourage unfolding, for whatever effect our encouragement actually has ;) Anyway, I'd be interested in hearing about it, even though I suspect the topic needs a workshop all to itself. cheers, James On 1 May 2013, at 21:05, Frank Siegert wrote: > Ok, thanks. > > I forgot to mention one issue about the collaboration meeting: When I > was in Hamburg for MC4BSM a week ago, Michele Papucci and Andreas > Weiler approached me, talking about their "Automated Testing Of Models > (AToM)" project.
