[Rivet] Bounces of Rivet mail?

We have had similar problems with people being kicked off lists hosted 
at IN2P3 because UCL was bouncing mail from their server. In that case 
the mailing list server reported the cause of the most recent bounce, 
which was that the IN2P3 server had been blacklisted at spamcop.net. It 
seems this server has been blackhosted and then cleared at least twice, 
since it is never blacklisted when I check, but there is no longer any 
way of checking the history of blacklisting/clearing a given host.

So are CERN and/or GMail using the same blacklists, and are IN2P3 and 
Durham really prolific relays of spam or is spamcop.net being overly 
zealous?
