[Rivet] b-tagging in RivetAndy Buckley andy.buckley at cern.chWed Dec 10 12:56:12 GMT 2014
Hi Spyros, The idea is that in general tagging objects could come from anywhere. But the projection model (setting everything up before the run and letting the dependencies resolve automatically) makes that non-trivial to implement, so for now it's done by ghost association only. I think that is the best way, but parentage association or deltaR association would be nice options. I'll take a look at the docs and see if I can add something that won't go out of date :-) Andy On 10/12/14 12:22, Spyridon Argyropoulos wrote: > Hi, > > I was looking through the Rivet documentation but I can't really > understand if the Jet::bTagged method > is equivalent to what has come to be known as "ghost matching" (i.e. > rescaling the B hadrons' 4-momenta > by a very small number and including them in the jet clustering). > > If it is, it might be useful to include it in the method description. > ("b particles which have been tag-matched to this jet by some external > means" is not very clear). > > Thanks and best regards, > Spyros > > > _______________________________________________ > Rivet mailing list > Rivet at projects.hepforge.org > https://www.hepforge.org/lists/listinfo/rivet > -- Dr Andy Buckley, Royal Society University Research Fellow Particle Physics Expt Group, University of Glasgow / PH Dept, CERN
