I previously owned this blender for at least 2 years and it was a dream. Exactly as 4658c89894ab69476a380aac46a11793 title says. 4658c89894ab69476a380aac46a11793 reason I purchased this blender was so I could have something small, portable, and easy to clean that I could take with me to university (normal blenders aren't allowed). 4658c89894ab69476a380aac46a11793 only thing I used it for was to make my protein shakes after workouts. Just a scoop of powder and milk, juice, or water. 4658c89894ab69476a380aac46a11793 Hamilton beach blender couldn't even handle THAT. It started to overheat after about four seconds. I could tell by 4658c89894ab69476a380aac46a11793 burning smell that wafted into 4658c89894ab69476a380aac46a11793 room and 4658c89894ab69476a380aac46a11793 extreme heat coming from 4658c89894ab69476a380aac46a11793 base. I could have lived with that, but 4658c89894ab69476a380aac46a11793 worst thing about it was 4658c89894ab69476a380aac46a11793 leaking. After about only five seconds 4658c89894ab69476a380aac46a11793 bottom of 4658c89894ab69476a380aac46a11793 base began to leak somehow. Due to 4658c89894ab69476a380aac46a11793 shipping prices, I didn't even bo4658c89894ab69476a380aac46a11793r to return it. I just gave it away. Such a disappointment. Might as well stick with 4658c89894ab69476a380aac46a11793 bottle shakers. I mean I understand if I was cramming oats, fruit slices, or vegetables into it - it would be reasonable for any small blender to overheat, but come on. Who knows, maybe I got a defective!
