[Rivet] rivet setup on Mac OS 10.6

Hi Andy,

Thanks for your reply.  Indeed, I had been following the installation instructions from the Rivet 1.8.3 manual and was using an old version of the bootstrap script.  I've updated to the current bootstrap script as well as moved to a Linux machine and I was able to get everything running.
