To follow up... -------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: unvalidated Rivet routines Date: Thu, 19 Feb 2015 20:46:04 +0100 From: Christian Gütschow <chris.g at cern.ch> To: andy.buckley at cern.ch Hi Andy, Roman dumped a list of unvalidated/preliminary ATLAS Rivet routines in my inbox, saying you had asked him once to track them down and to check whether they have been superseded by more recent results, except he never got round to doing it...? That would be these: https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/viewauth/AtlasProtected/RivetMCValidation#Unvalidated_ATLAS_Analyses_withi Couple of questions: -) There are some with the old spire number in the name, I've tracked down the corresponding inspire number, in case these should be renamed at some point? -) One analysis for a conference result has been superseded by the same analysis that uses the full 2011 dataset -- but there are routines for both analyses in Rivet, is that necessary? I suppose if I validate my MC against the full dataset, there is no point validating it against a subset of the data as well? -) There are quite a few routines for results that have been superseded by more complete papers for which there are no routines though (mostly SUSY searches). What is the plan for those? There are a few that seem to have no follow-up analyses. I could try validating them, but that's probably going to be quite hard after all this time.
