[Rivet] Compiling Sacrifice against Pythia82xxJames Monk jmonk at cern.chThu Oct 15 14:07:41 BST 2015
Hi Andy, indeed I am on this list, though it gets heavily filtered since it gets a moderate rate of spam ;) You are right that I never made a tarball with the Pythia 8.2 compatibility. I think my plan was to try and get something that worked with both versions, but currently only the svn head works for 8.2. I will be debugging some LHE3 issues in the coming days anyway, so that provides an opportunity to sort this out cheers, James On 14 Oct 2015, at 14:11, Andy Buckley <andy.buckley at cern.ch> wrote: > Hi Andrew, > > Sacrifice isn't a "Rivet product", although it is written by someone close to the Rivet project. I think James is on this developer list, but I've CC'd him as well, just in case. > > Personally, I'm currently using the SVN head version of Sacrifice with Pythia 8.2xx and it works fine. But I don't know if that version was ever given a numbered release... obviously it should be. The declaration of "map" with no type just sounds like a missing #include... perhaps because of C++ compiler/stdlib changes, and again maybe/probably sorted out in the trunk development. Hopefully James can help more specifically. > > Andy > > > On 12/10/15 21:05, andrew touchet wrote: >> Is there any fix for compiling Sacrifice-0.9.9 against Pythia82xx with >> the option HepMC2? >> >> The change from pythia8tohepmc to hepmc2 causes a failure to find all >> the Pythia libraries.
