Hi Riveters,

There will be a BSM (re)interpretation meeting in CERN (in the TH
auditorium) from 15-17 June, and I had agreed to go along to talk about
Rivet's role as a recasting tool, the role of detector effects and how
we now have some mechanisms for that, etc.

It now turns out that I can't get childcare cover for that time, and
with (relatively speaking) a lot of travel this month it's not possible
for me to go in person. I am happy to write a talk, and will join via
Vidyo, but we'll have a lot more impact if someone can actually be there
in the room.

The meeting will also involve some discussion of the "LH analysis
description accord" proposal, which several of us have strong
reservations about. Since the MadGraph authors -- also with critical
opinions -- can't attend, I think it's important that we have someone
there to put forward our point of view. In particular the tie-in of this
with Rivet is that we need to be able to *use* whatever format is
settled on, if any; I can't see how we, or anyone else for that matter,
can possibly do that with what's been proposed.

So, is anyone available to go and put our case & stand up for "Rivet's
interests"? David or Holger, maybe?

Andy
