[Rivet] rivet 2.4.2 with gcc 6.1

Hi Dima,

That sounds quite possible, and probably isn't appropriate: if any 
component of the build requires C++ > 98 then everything that depends 
(maybe indirectly) on its headers had also better be built in that mode.
