[Rivet] Question about FastSim in Rivet?Andy Buckley andy.buckley at cern.chWed May 3 20:20:57 BST 2017
Hi Eric, Please take a look at the src/Analyses/EXAMPLE_SMEAR.cc file. The include/Rivet/Projections/Smeared*.hh headers and corresponding files in src/Projections/ define the machinery, and the include/Rivet/Tools/SmearingFunctions.hh file defines a bunch of standard "Delphes-like" smearings. In some recent BSM analyses you'll find more complex real-world uses -- the easiest way to find them is probably to grep the src/Analyses/ directory for the word "Smear" :-) This is related to the Gambit smearing in the sense that developing that showed me how to do it in Rivet. I think the Rivet version is a significant improvement, though -- the second attempt usually is!
