[Rivet] rivet analysis w/ hepmc3

Dear Rivet experts,

Is the latest rivet version able to read in hepmc 3 files as in are they
backward compatible? Thanks for your time, or is this a question to hepmc
folks?  Some of the latest projects such as JETSCAPE are writing output
into hepmc3 format so this would help a lot.
