[Rivet] Rivetfest follow-ups & next Rivet workshopAndy Buckley andy.buckley at cern.chMon May 28 11:35:44 BST 2018
Dear all (apologies if you get this twice), Thanks for making last week's Rivet-fest at Lunga House such a success: great to see so many projects underway and the enthusiasm for what we're trying to do. To help maintain the momentum, and turn some of these good ideas into influential physics papers, here's a possibly incomplete list of what's already underway and for us to follow up: • Analysis coverage/wishlist: AB • Annual "State of the Nation" paper with full contributor author list: AB + core team • Rivet3 paper: Jon B + core team • Release 2.6.1: AB, David G • Multiweight + release v3: David G, Chris P, (Leif) (+ follow-up on re-entrant finalize for Rivet HI meeting in Aug) • Correlations and pyhf in HepData: Lukas, Louie, Stephen, Chris G, AB (+ CMS, ALICE, LHCb, ... reps: AB to chase) • Correlations in Contur and TopFitter: David Y, Joanna, Louie, Stephen, AB • Substructure smearing: Karl, Deepak, AB • BSM efficiency map generation & BSM analysis debugging: Andre, AB • Code speed-ups, profiling, HepMC, etc.: AB, and more? We should also pencil in plans for the *next* Rivet workshop. Any non-UK offers to host it? Jon proposed a (near) London one, but as a (currently) UK-dominated project we should make an effort to build connections further afield, e.g. alternating UK/elsewhere venues. Contact me if interested, please. Keep in touch, and hope to see you soon!
