[Rivet] mkGenserArea scriptJames Monk jmonk at hep.ucl.ac.ukThu Jul 10 16:50:50 BST 2008
Hi Emily, Both Jon and myself have successfully installed Genser on our Macs using the Mac specific script that is on the wiki. We had some issues with g77 that we never got to the bottom of, but since gfortran worked and g77 is no longer supported we are happy enough using gfortran. Which fortran compiler are you using? OS 10.5 comes with gcc 4.something, so maybe g77 would work if you have an older version of OS X. I do remember that gfortran also worked back when I was using 10.4, but things can get confusing if you have both g77 and gfortran! What's the compiler error you get? Are you using Fink? cheers James On 10 Jul 2008, at 16:29, Emily Nurse wrote: > Hi all, > > Has anyone managed to get the mkGenserArea script to work on a MAC > with OS X 10.4? > I got it to work with the script that was available in ~January, > which creates the following libraries: > > liblinks/ > libherwig6510.dylib libpythia6412.dylib > libherwig6510_dummy.dylib libpythia6412_dummy.dylib > libherwig6510_pdfdummy.dylib libpythia6412_pdfdummy.dylib > libpythia6411.dylib libpythia6413.dylib > libpythia6411_dummy.dylib libpythia6413_dummy.dylib > libpythia6411_pdfdummy.dylib libpythia6413_pdfdummy.dylib > > But I guess AGILE has changed how it expects to find them as it no > longer works when I try and run Rivetgun on my MAC (it used to work > ok). > > I have tried remaking them with both the new MAC and standard scripts > but they both fail. > > If anyone has done this successfully please let me know. > > Thanks, > Emily. > > _______________________________________________ > Rivet mailing list > Rivet at projects.hepforge.org > http://www.hepforge.org/lists/listinfo/rivet
