[Rivet] mkGenserArea script

Hi Emily,

Both Jon and myself have successfully installed Genser on our Macs
using the Mac specific script that is on the wiki. We had some issues
with g77 that we never got to the bottom of, but since gfortran worked
and g77 is no longer supported we are happy enough using gfortran.
Which fortran compiler are you using? OS 10.5 comes with gcc
4.something, so maybe g77 would work if you have an older version of
OS X. I do remember that gfortran also worked back when I was using
10.4, but things can get confusing if you have both g77 and gfortran!
What's the compiler error you get? Are you using Fink?

cheers

James
