There have been a lot of changes in AGILe and Rivet since January: the
mkGenserArea script has been changing as well. You could also try the new
official Genser bootstrapping script, which will replace mkGenserArea entirely:

It would be good to have several people testing this on several different
platforms, as it's helpful for both us and Genser to find and fix problems
before it is used more widely and changes are harder.

PS. I've got a weird bug at the moment which only seems to affect Tevatron
analyses: http://projects.hepforge.org/rivet/trac/ticket/203
