[Rivet] [Professor] Rivet/Professor/generators VMDaniel Weyh weyh at physik.hu-berlin.deTue Jun 28 16:37:35 BST 2011
Hi Andy, it actually is (was?) online (a bit hidden in the Professor download listing) - it's pretty much the version I presented to you in Geneva. There was some (next to no) discussion about how to improve, what to take in/out (sherpa, pythia8, alpgen, idontknowwhat?) and that Hendrik already had a VM... and the discussion somewhen stopped. I'm sorry I missed to ask for further development during the Professor phone meeting last week. If all agree I'd try to create a new VM with the new Rivet, compress it, ... and push it to somewhere on the net. We now have Rivet 1.5.1, so it could do with being updated to include that, but I still think it's a fantastically useful and nicely-constructed thing... do we have enough disk space on HepForge to put that 600MB (IIRC) file in the Rivet/Professor downloads area, Hendrik/David... or maybe linked from the MCnet page? > > Andy > > -- > Dr Andy Buckley > SUPA Advanced Research Fellow > Particle Physics Experiment Group, University of Edinburgh > > The University of Edinburgh is a charitable body, registered in > Scotland, with registration number SC005336. > > _______________________________________________ > Professor mailing list > Professor at projects.hepforge.org > http://www.hepforge.org/lists/listinfo/professor
