Okay, here I go, asking my first stupid question about the release
procedure. In revision 3084 you changed the version number in
configure.ac from 1.5.0 to 1.5.1a0. What is the purpose of this, other
than forcing poor developers to rerun autoreconf and configure? I can't
see any benefits from it.
