Hi Anton, Sercan, Peter,

We finally (!) have a beta version of Rivet 1.8.2 ready to be tested on
mcplots -- we have loads more analyses, in large part thanks to Sercan,
and the usual collection of robustness improvements (I think no actual
*bugs* this time...) and general tweaks.

So, could you please work your usual, much appreciated, magic and try
out this version on the mcplots dev site? The tarball is available as
usual on

http://www.hepforge.org/downloads/rivet

as Rivet-1.8.2beta0.tar.gz (note that this tarball was post hoc renamed
as beta0, and will actually expand into a Rivet-1.8.2 directory).
Thanks! We hope we can release 1.8.2 properly sometime next week, if all
goes well.

This time we really, really, *really* intend that the next release will
be the YODA-based 2.0.0: it's very close and we are thoroughly fed up of
continual SVN branch merging!

Best wishes,
Andy, Hendrik, David, et al
