[Rivet] bugfix for ATLAS_2017_I1609448Andy Buckley andy.buckley at cern.chTue Sep 5 13:56:56 BST 2017
I merged this in today, complete with fix. And I've added some extra methods to the MissingMomentum interface to avoid the need for MET vector inversion... good feedback, thanks :-) Andy PS. For others, the good news is that the new analysis bundling & building makes this *so* much easier than it used to be: just copy the files into the appropriate plugin dir and they just build. Awesome. (For the validation, I had still spelt out the logic line by line in the routine, because it was broken in MissingMomentum until v2.5.3.) > > On that note, I find it counter-intuitive and error prone that MissingMomentum gives me the negative of the MET vector when I call vectorPt on it. I’m all in favour of calculating missing momentum by summing over visible momenta and taking the inverse of that vector, but I would expect the final * -1 to happen inside the projection already. > > Cheers, > Chris > > > — > > Dr. Christian Gütschow > > Department of Physics and Astronomy > University College London > Gower Street > London WC1E 6BT > > > D10 Physics Building > > +44 (0)20 7679 3775 > > chris.g at cern.ch > > > > > _______________________________________________ > Rivet mailing list > Rivet at projects.hepforge.org > https://www.hepforge.org/lists/listinfo/rivet -- Dr Andy Buckley, Lecturer / Royal Society University Research Fellow Particle Physics Expt Group, University of Glasgow
