Hi,

If you *really* need Rivet 2.4.3 in Athena, you can use release 20.7.7.7.
But as Andy said, it’s recommended that you upgrade to a newer Rivet version if possible.

Cheers,
Chris

Hi Shayma -- I don't know offhand, but I think it's given on / linked to the RivetForAtlas twiki page.

In general, though, I strongly advise to use a newer Rivet version. The 2.4 series is several years old, and many bugs have been fixed since then. It's always a good idea to keep as close as possible to the current production release.

Thanks a lot for your replay, May I ask how can I know which Athena setup (setup …...) I need to use to be able to setup Rivet version 2.4.3.

Hi Shayma,

I'm missing some context: what version of Rivet are you using? I'm guessing it's not the latest, since otherwise this analysis would already be built-in... from the version control log it looks like it has been there since at least mid-2017. It's possible that this code requires features not available in the version that you're attempting to compile it with, hence the errors.

I'm not sure if the source code is available anywhere on AFS, but you can get it from the Rivet source code tarballs.

Hope that helps,
Andy

Dear Mr. Buckley,

I am trying to compile the following routine ATLAS_2016_I1419652, since I am interested in running it over the same samples used by the original analysers.

But I am getting many errors, could you please give me few instructions how can I compile any analysis exist in the source code.

And if I can find the source code in lxplus to copy it to the machine I am using.

Best Regard,
Shayma
