As David has said, having Herwig++ and Pythia 8 in addition to Sherpa would make it a very useful system for use in a summer school in September, so I think they are worth putting in. If the sources are removed, as I think you were doing, they hopefully won't add an enormous amount to the current size. I assume the "Japan school" is the one in September or at least not next weeks or so, as I don't see a chance to get it done. So, is there any constraint on the time frame or is there no hurry (= I have at least 2 weeks)? (I remember our discussion about maintaining... and I think I have to set it all up again once more... ;-) ) IIRC I tried to compile Pythia8 and Herwig++ once and didn't get it... was my very beginning with this generator stuff and by now I'm not sure where to start from (source, agile-genser-setup,...). If there's any information which would make my life easier, don't hesitate to write, otherwise I will just try my luck and ask when I get stuck. And, oh yeah. If there's anything else you want in there, please notice before I repack the VM, which is quite a weird procedure... Cheers, Daniel PS: Professor 1.2 or HEAD (with generic interpolations ;-) ) or both?
